Odds of Life on Newfound Earth-Size Planet '100 Percent,' Astronomer Says

An Earth-size planet has been spotted orbiting a nearby star at a distance that would makes it not too hot and not too cold, comfortable enough for life to exist, researchers announced.

Steven Vogt, a professor of astronomy and astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, said that he believes there is a 100% chance there is life on the planet.

personally, i think saying 100% is a little too optimistic, as the planet's weather would be chaos due to it being tidally locked.

  1. wow sounds pretty cool...hope aliens are friendly lol :P

  2. tidaly locked? is that when a planet is facing the same side towards the sun all the time?
making extreme temperature differences, extreme wind and unplesanties?

  3. @riffmaster yeah, but inbetween the temperature is just nice for life to exist
